Hospital Policy

At Prairie View Animal Hospital, our policies are designed to help us provide safe, efficient, and professional care for every pet we see. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, Prairie View Animal Hospital operates by appointment only.

Emergency cases will always receive top priority, which means occasional appointment delays may be unavoidable. We make a sincere effort to see each patient on time and appreciate your patience should a delay occur.

A $20 no-show fee will be applied for every missed appointment without notification. This fee will be donated to a local shelter.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we recommend keeping your pet’s vaccinations up to date.

Although we make every effort to help our patients feel comfortable during visits, pets may feel uneasy around new people, new surroundings, and other animals. For everyone’s safety, we require that all pets be placed on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering the waiting room.

We also ask that you respect other clients’ space, even if your pet is friendly. If your pet is displaying behavior that is not safe for themself, other pets, or our staff, we may ask you to return on a different day with medication on board.

Payment Policy

All charges are expected to be paid in full at the time of service.

If a payment plan is needed, we offer financing through CareCredit and Varidi.

You can apply for CareCredit online through the CareCredit website. We offer a deferred interest plan through CareCredit with a minimum purchase of $200.

You can learn more about Varidi on the Varidi website. Varidi is a flexible payment system with no credit checks and a one-time setup fee based on your expected invoice total.

Any accounts greater than 90 days past due without payment are subject to referral to our collection agency and will be charged a collection fee of 33% of the outstanding balance.
